Grazie Mille

I just wanted to throw out a big thanks to everyone who called and came and sent packages or brought goodies to Miles after his bike crash. He wrote thank you notes, but then we left for Europe and so some of them have yet to go out. We'll get them out, but here's and extra thank you. I was really surprised by how many people stepped up for little Miles. I think he was, too, and I'm so glad he was able to see it! It's good for him to know what kind of world he's living in, and thank you all for making it that kind of world. He looked like this one month ago:

By some miracle, he is fine now, and he looks like this:

I expect the scars will lighten as they continue to heal. Thanks to all the wonderful people who love my little man. Do you feel better yet, Aryn?

What? Yikes! You need to blog more so I know what is going on. I'm glad he is doing better and I'm going to buy bike helmets for my kids tomorrow! Also, I want to know about Europe.

First of all, I've been dying to hear about the cruise?!?!?! Let's get on that. My jealousy knows no bounds.

Second, I actually do not feel better. He looks better, and he looks happy, but something about that little mug of his being so banged up. I don't know, I'll have to go to a therapist or something...

Oh, my!! Poor kid -- I don't know what happened either, but so glad he is healing up so well.

Europe? Details!!

Amen to helmets--I used to sort of wonder what the statistics were; do they really do that much? I can only imagine what would have happened were he not wearing his helmet. I suspect the worst, and so--make your kids wear those helmets!

Miles you look awesome! Let's hope the scars don't fade too much, you do want to win Scar Wars.

Oh, that beautiful baby skin. But Miles, you were in danger of being too pretty. So now you look tough and fierce. (But I could still take you any day.) Love you!
