When I was a kid, I remember one big fat festival of fun at the elementary school followed by some unchaperoned trick-or-treating. How is it that for my least favorite holiday, we end up going through the whole to-do thirty seven times? School carnival, church trunk-or-treating, actual halloween night trick-or treating.... Okay, so maybe it's just three times, but it feels like a like a lot. I'm not sure if the kids love it, or just love the candy. Would it be just as well to plunk them down in front of three big bags of candy combo packs and let them go? I suspect so. Anyway, here they are.
