I always suspected that I'd get a fair amount of calls home from school about the behavior of my boy, but I wasn't expecting exactly what I got today. The full story involves a lot of guessing and questioning (done by me) and a lot of elaborate storytelling (done by Miles), but the short version is this: Miles, as he strolled along in the bus line enjoying a warm and pleasant day, saw a teacher bent over talking to a child. He did what any self-respecting Fitzwater would do (I blame you, Aryn). He reached out and smacked her in the butt as he passed.

We do a fair amount of playful swatting, and the kids love it when Mike threatens to "SA-MACK-A" them. But I always thought the whole no-playful-swatting-strangers-on-the-bottom rule was kind if understood. It was kind of a hard day.

Yes, I check this thing every 15 minutes or so (just in case). What of it?
(Trying to contain my laughing) What to say? I'm picturing Miles humming along, suddenly encountering a big old booty on a lovely day, and smacking it, just cause it's there and that's what one does. Or was it more calculated than that (like did he see it from afar and wind-up first)?
Miles truly is fantastic, you have to give him that. And in his defense, he's probably still at that age (for another couple or weeks anyway ;)) where it's NOT a given, and a lapse in judgment when suddenly presented with this opportunity is ok. Expected, even.
Give him a squeeze from me ;).
Oh that is funny. A nice round rear to smack probably seemed like a little gift just for Miles on such a pleasant day. I'm laughing so hard.
I just spit up my drink and my co-workers are looking at me funny. Just to picture this is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Atta boy, Miles, atta boy!
Oh Miles is so choice. I would have loved to hear some of his versions of this event.
