Give Me Some Sugar, Baby

Really. I mean it. Carrie and I are on day 9 of our month of no desserts or sugary things, and no white breads--everything whole grain. I'm fine with the loss of white bread--I mostly eat whole grains anyway, but I ask you: what is life without dessert? I come from the school of thought that suggests that food is secondary, that it always takes a backseat to cookies. I think next month I'll have to reverse the challenge. During the month of February, I'm eating only desserts (and occasionally white breads). Any takers?

If it makes you feel any better, I'm eating the desserts and white breads for you this month. You're almost halfway there. The ridiculous thing is how hard it is to give up, and then how easy it is to get hooked again. Once an addict, always an addict, right? But that's not really helping. Keep on Keepin' on! Also, we're not all literary snobs - some of still like to look at picture books. What I mean to say is, POST PICTURES no doy, even if they're unrelated to your story.

I'm very proud of you. Did you read my blog? I took some inspiration after reading this post of yours (though I forgot to send a shout out on mine).

I want more pics of the dance off... I looked at Carrie's blog, but SURELY there are more embarrassing pictures of you and Mike out there. Was there no lift? You, arms stretched directly overhead, gazing up to the heavens... Mike, back arched, stomach tight, toes pointed, etc. etc., balancing oh so delicately... was there no lift?

And yes, no doy, more pictures. And more writing, please.
